FUJISOFT and Microsoft Strengthen Partnership to Promote Both Cloud and On-Premise Businesses
- Establishment at FUJISOFT of a specialized department around 100 people strong, in tandem with the opening of the Microsoft Solution & Cloud Center -
FUJISOFT INCORPORATED (“FUJISOFT” / Head Office: Yokohama City, Kanagawa, Japan / President: Haruhisa Shiraishi) and Microsoft Corporation (“Microsoft” / Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President: Yasuyuki Higuchi) are pleased to announce the agreement reached by the two companies to strengthen their partnership and jointly promote their cloud and on-premise computing businesses.
As the domestic market scale of cloud computing is expected to exceed 2 trillion yen in 2015, FUJISOFT has judged that the partnership with Microsoft, which is growing more dominant in the market after the successive releases of new services such as Microsoft® Business Productivity Online Suite (“BPOS”) and Windows® Azure™, in addition to its conventional on-premise software, is indispensable for the further expansion of FUJISOFT. Also, offering the hybrid services advocated by Microsoft, which combine on-premise software and cloud services, is a good fit with the FUJISOFT policy of offering the optimum scenario for every customer.
In addition, Microsoft has an abundance of engineers and experience in system configuration at locations all over Japan, and a strengthened partnership with FUJISOFT that aims to expand the on-premise and cloud businesses would enable Microsoft to offer products and services even more fitting to the customers’ needs.
As a part of the measures to strengthen the partnership, FUJISOFT established Microsoft Solution & Cloud Center in Fujisoft Akihabara Building (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on Thursday, March 18, 2010. Microsoft Solution & Cloud Center aims to clarify the issues associated with customers’ systems and to offer support when introducing Microsoft products and services. Also provided at the Center are seminars, demonstrations of the latest products, and hands-on programs for customers to confirm and verify the effects of system introduction by actually using the equipment. It also functions as a contacting point for customers. FUJISOFT is considering establishing a similar center at its Osaka Office.
As a Microsoft-certified Gold Partner, FUJISOFT offers four types of Microsoft-related services including Microsoft Office Migration Service. To these have been added nine types of packaged service menus through the strengthening of the partnership. By expanding our businesses further, we plan to attain sales of Microsoft-related products of 2 billion yen in 2010 and 7 billion yen three years later in 2012.
FUJISOFT and Microsoft will continue working to enhance customers’ productivity and corporate competitiveness under this stronger partnership.
